Treasurer
The Treasurer receives monies for the county and
pays the county's bills. The office sends out property tax bills, collects
delinquent taxes, and sells property seized for nonpayment of taxes.
Vehicle license plates are sold at the Treasurer's office. Taxes owed to
the state, municipalities, schools, and special districts are collected at
the Treasurer's office. With the authorization of the County
Commissioners, the Treasurer invests county funds in interest-bearing
investments.
