PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS

The District Sanitarian inspects Public Accommodations (Hotels & Motels) for compliance under Title 16, Chapter 10 Subchapter 6 ARM in the following areas: Guest Rooms, Ice Equipment, Personnel, Restrooms, Laundry Area, Garbage Disposal, Pest Control, Water, Sewage, Plumbing, Lighting, and Condition of Floors, Walls, and Ceilings. Food service and swimming pools within these establishments are inspected under other Environmental Health Programs.

Public Accommodations are required to be licensed under Title 50 Chapter 51 MCA. License fees are established under 50-51-204 MCA and cost $40 per year without a pool and $90 per year with a pool.
