Records

The Clerk & Recorder's office is responsible for the filing and microfilming of all documents.

Our records date back to 1881 to the Patents from the USA.  Our documents are from handwritten to microfilm; and as of 3-21-2000 are now on computer.

Our office assists the public in attaining necessary information from the records and makes copies of all documents at a cost determined by law.

Any individual came come in at no charge and search our records with a legal description or a name & obtain a chain of title from patent on.  It will show all owners of the land all mortgages and liens, all mineral rights and anything else that has been filed on that property.
